POSITION SUMMARY | Under the direction of the Director for Assessment of Student and Instructor Experience and the Director of Administrative Operations, the Program Manager of Student Experience Initiatives is responsible for the comprehensive management and strategic development of UCLA's Student Experiences of Teaching (SET) program. This position ensures the effective administration and delivery of SET surveys each term, routinely collaborates with campus stakeholders to strengthen communication and facilitate critical processes, performs data analysis and reporting, and supports data-informed decision-making. The role also leads efforts to ensure the survey system aligns with institutional goals, accreditation standards, university and unit-level policies and procedures, and educational development initiatives. In addition to SET-related responsibilities, the Program Manager provides programmatic and administrative support for the UCLA Senior Survey and other initiatives in the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC). This includes coordinating project timelines, supporting administrative processes, tracking deliverables, and assisting with reporting and documentation to ensure successful execution and alignment with institutional priorities. May be asked to engage in special projects. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement within the state of California. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | SET System Coordination, Enhancement, and Stakeholder Liaison | 1.Coordinate timely rollout and ongoing management of the campus-wide Student Experiences of Teaching (SET) survey process. 2.Liaise with external survey platform vendor (Explorance) to maintain system functionality and resolve issues. 3.Serve as point of contact between Academic Technology staff in DigitalTechnology & Solutions (DTS), instructors, teaching assistants, department evaluation coordinators, and academic personnel office. 4.Coordinate logistics with the Registrar's Office and maintain alignment with academic scheduling timelines. 5.Facilitate the upload and validation of data from the UCLA Registrar. 6.Translate requests from departmental evaluation coordinators to ensure survey distribution accuracy. 7.Facilitate successful upload of SET survey data into Interfolio for faculty reviews and promotion and tenure processes. 8.Recommend and implement enhancements to the survey system to improve usability, response rates, and data quality. 9.Work collaboratively with academic leadership to align SET surveys with institutional teaching and learning priorities, including accreditation needs. 10.Support the development and implementation of custom survey items based on program or course-specific requirements. | 40% | Consultation, Training, and Communication | 1.Develop asynchronous training modules and documentation for departmental coordinators and instructors. 2.Maintain, update, and enhance FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and instructional videos for the TLC website. 3.In collaboration with Assessment of Student and Instructor Experiences(ASIE) unit, provide consultation services to departments and instructors on the interpretation and use of course evaluation data. 4.Support development and implementation of communication strategy, incoordination with TLC communications team, for campus stakeholders; ensure strategy is informed by national trends and research related to course evaluations, student feedback, and teaching effectiveness; specific responsibilities include preparation of promotional materials and website content to reflect current program details and guidelines. | 25% | Program/Project and Committee Management | 1.Manage the Senior Survey Program, as well as other projects as assigned, ensuring objectives are met within deadlines and budget constraints. 2.Coordinate with the TLC Administrative Support team on the operational aspects of program delivery, including logistics, financial management, and stakeholder engagement. 3.Provide project management support, including scheduling, coordinating attendance, agendas, materials, and catering for all relevant program and committee meetings. 4.Coordinate the financial aspects of assigned units and projects, such as working with the Finance Team to process purchases, payments, and reimbursements; distribute Statements of Work (SOWs) and Memoranda ofUnderstanding (MOUs); and transferring funds. 5.Assist with tracking impact for relevant programs and projects, working with leadership to determine key performance indicators to measure the impact of the TLC’s work. | 20% | Data Analysis & Dashboard Management | 1.Maintain, update, and enhance Tableau dashboards that visualize course evaluation results for various stakeholder groups. 2.Perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysis to support program review, strategic planning, and teaching improvement efforts. | 10% | Other Duties as Required | 1.Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. | 5% | | | | | |
