POSITION SUMMARY | Under supervision of Principal Investigators and Aerospace Engineers, this position interacts directly with department space research groups to administer Windows, Mac, and Linux-based user machines, web/data server rackmount systems, and related network infrastructure hosting a range of processing and storage hardware. Best practices and standards in system design are implemented to allow for constantly expanding databases and data processing. The position will coordinate software licensing that supports research activities (e.g. account and hardware/software lifecycle management, GitHub, YouTrack, SVN, VMWare, and other network administration), and additionally assist with software development and programming for multi-instrument multi-spacecraft missions and related projects, as-needed. The incumbent will be the point of contact for end users requiring assistance with any software or hardware IT issues, including faculty, staff, researchers, and students. | | | |
