POSITION SUMMARY | Under the general supervision of the Deputy Athletics Director/Chief Revenue Officer, the Associate Athletics Director, Revenue Generation & Business Intelligence, will lead revenue-generating teams and initiatives for UCLA Athletics. This position will be responsible for strategic oversight of ticket sales (primary and secondary markets), corporate partnerships, marketing, and ticket operations. The incumbent will leverage data-driven decision-making to enhance revenue streams, improve fan engagement, and implement best industry practices. This role requires extensive collaboration across departments, including ticketing, marketing, development, and campus partners. | | | |
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | Revenue Generation and Business Intelligence | • Act as the primary partnership liaison with third-party outbound ticket sales vendors to ensure alignment of strategies and operations to drive revenue and attendance across all sports. • Act as the primary partnership liaison with secondary market ticket sales vendors to ensure alignment of strategies and operations to maximize revenue. • Serve as the primary partnership liaison with the Central Ticket Office to streamline ticketing operations and enhance fan experiences. • Oversee collaboration with outsourced data reporting vendors to create visualization and reporting tools for department leadership in planning, budgeting, and performance measurement. | 60% | Revenue Generation and Business Intelligence | • Lead the creation & implementation of a unified UCLA Athletics customer/donor/fan database integrating data from ticket sales, email marketing, development, concessions, apparel sales. • Utilize AI platforms such as Wolfcycle for lead prospecting to enhance B2C &B2B business opportunities. • Oversee the relaunch of revenue-related elements on uclabruins.com to optimize online sales & engagement. • Play a key leadership role in the ticket software RFP process, ensuring alignment with future revenue strategies. • Assist in planning Rose Bowl seating renovations, including South End Zone & future lower bowl sideline reseating. • Present opportunities to create & enhance premium seating categories in Pauley Pavilion. • Serve as a secondary liaison with JMIS to optimize multimedia rights partner | 0% | Revenue Generation and Business Intelligence | • Develop and implement new game-day fan experiences to drive engagement and revenue. • Stay at the forefront of revenue generation trends in the sports industry, attending industry conferences and UCLA away games as needed. | 0% | Leadership and Strategic Planning | • Lead high-performing revenue-generating teams, including ticket sales, corporate partnerships, marketing, and ticket operations. • Develop and implement innovative strategic plans centered on segmented data analysis to improve the effectiveness of sales and engagement campaigns. • Analyze campaign performance and provide insights to optimize future engagement strategies. • Foster relationships with department heads across UCLA Athletics and campus to achieve revenue and engagement goals. • Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities for direct reports to cultivate a culture of excellence. | 30% | Game Day and Special Events Responsibilities | • Attend and oversee revenue-related operations at home games, primarily football and men’s basketball, as well as other select sporting events. • Ensure top-tier customer service and fan experience initiatives are executed effectively on game days. | 5% | Rules Compliance | • Comply with all Federal, State, University, and Department requirements established pursuant to Title IX, including mandatory reporting requirements for a “Responsible Employee” • UCLA Athletics is governed by the NCAA, Big Ten Conference, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, and the University of California System.
