POSITION SUMMARY | The UCLA Anderson School of Management is among the leading business schools in the world, providing management education to approximately 2,500 full-time and professional students, and is highly regarded for its thought leadership in management through the work of various centers at Anderson. The Executive Director of the Healthcare Innovation Center (HIC) plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the Center's strategic vision, ensuring that its programs, initiatives, and partnerships advance the field of healthcare innovation. This individual will work closely with the Faculty Director and key stakeholders to establish and implement a comprehensive strategy that aligns with the institution's goals and meets the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the development of innovative curricula, workshops, and events, while positioning the Center as a leader in healthcare innovation education and research. The Executive Director will also focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with industry leaders, academic partners, and other key stakeholders, facilitating collaborations and securing opportunities for students, faculty, and professionals to engage with thought leaders in the field. Additionally, the Executive Director will drive fundraising efforts, securing major gifts, sponsorships, and other resources to support the Center's activities. This role involves financial oversight, including managing the Center's budget, staffing, and resource allocation, ensuring effective use of resources to support ongoing initiatives. The Executive Director will also work to expand the Center's visibility and brand awareness, both on campus and within the broader healthcare community, through speaking engagements, media participation, and strategic marketing efforts. Partner with the Faculty Director and staff to develop and execute the overall strategic plan for the Healthcare Innovation Center. 3. Cultivate and maintain a deep understanding of emerging healthcare technologies, innovations, and leadership methodologies to inform curriculum design and strategic initiatives. 4. Design and deliver innovative curricula, conferences, and workshops focused on emerging healthcare technologies and advanced management strategies. 5. Build and maintain a wide network of industry contacts across healthcare innovation sectors to secure distinguished speakers, conference panelists, and showcase event participants, while providing educational and networking opportunities for students and professionals. 6. Develop and manage an industry mentorship program tailored annually to align with student interests and the evolving global healthcare landscape. 7. Recruit leading healthcare companies and industry leaders to participate in events, classroom discussions, and to sponsor key initiatives. 8. Organize and lead high-profile showcase events that attract large audiences and generate revenue through sponsorships and registrations. 9. Stay informed and connected by engaging with thought leaders, attending industry conferences, and participating in relevant professional events to enhance knowledge and expand networks. 10. Introduce new programming designed for alumni and industry professionals, aimed at generating revenue and strengthening engagement with the Center. 11. Develop a strategic vision for collaborative research projects involving multiple top-tier global research institutions, focused on advancing knowledge in healthcare innovation and management. 12. Support and execute the mission of research collaborations by securing funding and providing stipends for PhD students and other key research activities. | 40% | Internal & External Stakeholder Development | 1. Build and maintain partnerships with healthcare innovation hubs and universities in Southern California to develop collaborative opportunities for students and faculty. 6. In conjunction with the Faculty Director, manage and execute long- and short-term fundraising strategies to secure major gifts from individuals, alumni, foundations, and other entities for the Healthcare Innovation Center; oversee the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors. 7. Create and manage opportunities for academic leadership and faculty to engage with potential donors and supporters. | 30% | Financial & Resource Management | 1.
