POSITION SUMMARY | Reporting to the Assistant Dean for Enrollment & Student Services, the Enrollment Communications Specialist will serve as the lead communications strategist for engaging prospective students at UCLA Extension. This role will develop and implement comprehensive, multidisciplinary communications programs in support of all programs offered by UCLA Extension. Specifically, this role will oversee the development and continuous improvement of communication strategies, personalized lifecycle campaigns, website and landing page creation and maintenance, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data integration, and analytics to optimize student engagement, retention, and growth across prospective students, current students, and alumni. With a high level of autonomy, the Enrollment Communications Specialist will supervise and mentor the email communications team, ensuring effective execution of email campaigns and lifecycle initiatives. The Specialist will lead the design and implementation of campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, leveraging data from Salesforce CRM to create targeted, high-impact communications. This role will oversee all aspects of prospective student communications, including strategy development, digital channel performance analytics, and data-driven decision-making, while also ensuring alignment with the institutional goals of UCLA Extension. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams—including academic departments, IT, International Programs, and Student Services—is essential to maintain reliable systems integration and deliver consistent messaging across all lifecycle stages. Serve as the primary digital communication strategist for UCLA Extension, with email campaigns as the key tactic for engaging prospective students. Create, develop, and implement comprehensive long and short-term strategic communication plan that involves email communication campaigns and lifecycle strategies. 3. Research, assess, and understand audience needs to develop, produce, and implement personalized digital communications solutions such as email campaigns and landing pages that drive engagement, enrollment, and retention. 4. Plan, develop, test, implement, manage, and evaluate email communications strategies, including automated campaigns and segmentation. 5. Collaborate with the Web Team, Creative Team, and Strategic Communications to research, develop, produce, and maintain landing pages in support of communications, including all content/images/video, etc. 6. Manage email communications channel, including the development, creation and maintenance of email content and web landing pages, while integrating data from Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce CRM, and other systems to enhance campaign performance. 7. Own and manage text messaging (SMS) as a communications channel, including strategy development, campaign execution, audience segmentation, compliance adherence, performance analysis, and optimization to drive engagement, conversions, and retention. 8. Own the Customer Lifetime Value (LTV) metric by developing strategies to increase retention, engagement, and repeat enrollments, leveraging data insights to optimize the student journey and maximize long-term revenue. 9.
