POSITION SUMMARY | The employee will work on statistical genetic and biomedical informatics analysis for large-scale biobank, electronic health record (EHR) data, and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data. Specifically, the employee will provide statistical and data management support for the analysis of the UK Biobank data, Million Veteran Project (MVP), Veteran Affairs (VA) health records, NIH All of US data, and UCLA Atlas data. | | | |

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | Data Analysis and Management | Gathers, analyzes, prepares, and summarizes the collection of information and data; recommends statistical approaches, trends, sources, and uses. Data cleaning and manipulation. Creating a descriptive summary and reviewing the data with the PIs. Developing statistical research strategies to aid in analysis of data produced from research projects. Utilizing current and new methods to identify, address, and meet research requirements. Analyzes the interrelationships of data and defines logical aspects of data sets. Performing professional statistical work using a variety of statistical methods and programs to complete assignments and related tasks under general supervision. Manages database of research data for projects. Evaluating, recommending, and implementing procedures for data management and quality control. Overseeing data entry and maintenance of data files, including backups and hard copies. | 40% | Data Presentation and Reporting | Prepares data for presentation. Creating the summary of data analysis and presenting the results during meetings. Prepares reports of studies for internal validation and cross-validation studies. Presenting the statistical analysis summary plots or tables for the PIs’ publications. Help PIs to prepare research performance progress reports. Perform administrative tasks for PI. Scheduling meetings. Office supplies procurement.
