POSITION SUMMARY

The Parker Career Management Center at UCLA Anderson provides career services for FTMBA and other select graduate students. We partner with over 200 employers annually, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to start-ups across various industries, facilitating their connection with our MBA students through diverse recruiting methods.

 

The Recruiting Relations Account Manager is pivotal in developing and managing relationships with employer partners to facilitate recruiting logistics for UCLA Anderson MBA students. The role involves strategizing and implementing in-person and virtual recruiting programs, fostering strong connections with recruiters, and adapting to the dynamic MBA hiring landscape.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Manage Employer Relationships: Establish and maintain robust recruiting relationships with assigned employer partners, including alumni recruiters and  teams.

• Recruiting Strategy and Implementation: Plan and execute various recruiting programs such as events, interviews, job postings, networking events, career fairs, and one-on-one meetings.

• Collaboration with Career Advisors: Partner with Parker Career Advisors to understand MBA students' recruiting needs and preferences. Conduct annual de-brief and  strategy meetings with employer partners.

• Employer Outreach: Work closely with the Business Development Manager and the Senior Advisor of Employer Relations from the Dean's Office to expand employer outreach and convert potential hiring organizations.

• Support Student Clubs: Collaborate with student clubs to support major club/Parker partnership activities, including Days-On-the-Jobs (DOJs) and Career Nights.

• Project Management: Undertake additional value-add projects such as developing communications strategies, providing logistics and project management support for educational programs, workshops, and large-scale

        events like admissions events and orientation as well as internal team-building activities.

 

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree required.

• Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in career services or a relevant higher education or business environment preferred.

 

Skills:

o Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.

o Excellent multitasking, organizational, and project management abilities.

o Proficiency in office productivity tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, 12Twenty) preferred. Willingness to learn and use new technology tools, including GenAI programs.

o Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

o Ability to analyze situations, recognize alternatives, and formulate logical solutions.

o Comfort with ambiguity and ability to make decisions with incomplete information.

o Demonstrated success in team-oriented and collaborative environments.

 

Work Schedule: The position follows a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote). Additional days and extended hours may be required during peak recruiting seasons.

 

Benefits: This is an exempt position offering a salary range of $80,000-$85,000 per year plus benefits available to full-time employees of UCLA.

Serve as the key account manager for current and potential employers, promoting UCLA Anderson MBA students and recruiting services.

Manage all employer contacts and activities, coordinating campus visits and arrangements.

Act as the primary resource for recruitment information and facilitate interactions with student organizations, faculty, and staff.

Develop strong relationships with employer recruiters and alumni, consulting on recruitment strategies and representing UCLA Anderson at company events.

Maintain and share a database of recruiting information with internal and external stakeholders.

Handle recruiter inquiries and follow up on issues and concerns.

Recruiting Program Planning and Execution

Plan and execute recruiting events and activities, including Career Fair, recruiter day, workshops, panels, and corporate presentations.

Coordinate logistics support, including parking, catering, and audiovisual arrangements.

Manage school-facilitated interview processes and communicate logistics to recruiters.

Assist with room scheduling, parking, and special arrangements for career events.

Support preparation and organization for workshops and programs like Career Series and Internship Academy.

Collaborate with Parker team members and student clubs to plan and execute Days-On-the-Job events.

Technology and Data Management

Utilize 12Twenty and other platforms to manage recruiting activities and maintain system updates.

Maintain historical records of recruiting information for benchmarking surveys and generate year-end reports and analysis.

Embrace new tools, including GenAI, to enhance recruiting operations.

Advising and Training

Advise MBA students on the Anderson-facilitated interview program and corporate recruitment.

Assist in annual workshops and orientation sessions for MBA students.

Provide guidance on campus recruitment issues and troubleshoot student-employer interactions.

Contribute to the development and execution of recruitment-related information and marketing materials.

Develop and send announcements and reminders to employer partners and update the external website annually.
