POSITION SUMMARY | The UCLA Anderson Master of Science in Business Program (MSBA) Program is the #1 MSBA program in the world. MSBA is Anderson's fastest, highest-ranked graduate program, and a vital component of the school's mission of educating business leaders. Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, the Associate Director, Marketing & Operations Manager assumes the following primary responsibilities for the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) Program: (1) Work with the Executive Director to provide high-quality results in Finance and operations support. (2) Serve as primary management contact for the Finance, marketing, and operations aspects of the MSBA program. (3) Lead design, creation and maintenance of program website, marketing strategy and social media websites and responsible for consistency of messaging/branding across a wide diversity of platforms in coordination with internal and external marketing. (4) Fostering collegial relationships with MSBA recruiters, applicants, students, faculty, administrators, employers, and external partners and vendors. (5) Serves as a member of the Admissions Committee, recruiting, interviewing 25 candidates and yielding 120+ students per year. (5) This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of computer competency in the use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint (bonus: graphic design, Salesforce). (6) This position requires external client management skills, business development, or professional sales experience. The Associate Director, Marketing & Operations Manager works independently and as a fully participating management team member to deliver a wide range of services to students, faculty and senior management. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | Marketing Responsibilities | 1. Develop, design, and implement overall strategic media and communications plan marketing the MSBA program including all websites, all printed publications, social media, and database email marketing campaigns. 2. Primary liaison and manager of all marketing relationships internally and externally. Primary stakeholder and contributor to monthly meetings with the Marcomm and Digital Marketing agency (OHO) to strategize and design content development for MSBA program. Also, primary negotiator of all contracts related to marketing engagement. 3. Responsible for management and execution of all MSBA printed publications implemented by the Anderson Marketing & Communications Department used at various recruiting events including brochures, single sheet promotional materials, and other necessary materials focusing on MSBA and the UCLA Anderson brand. 4. Accountable for gathering engaging MSBA student content/stories and production of various collateral to push out via printed publications, website, social media, and database email marketing campaigns. Manage production of various collateral including editorials, professional photo shoots, and professional video production. 5. Produce quarterly and annual statistical reports pertaining to recruitment, evaluation/application period, and yield management. Provide analysis critical to decisions pertaining to strategic MSBA marketing initiatives and campaigns. 6. Oversee and manage MSBA social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Works in partnership with MSBA student government Vice President of Marketing to generate grass roots student content and promotional materials to be sure program realities for students are understood, continuously improved and well described in marketing campaigns. 7. Manage the design and distribution of the MSBA Welcome Kits given to all admitted students. Responsible for interfacing with current students in regard to the effectiveness of welcome kits to support a higher yield of admitted students. | 60% | Project Management for Special/Specific Initiatives | 1. Manage new engaging content and special projects such as video and photo shoots involving all MSBA stakeholders including Admissions, Career Services, and Alumni Relations. 2. Collaborates with Anderson Computing and Information Services (ACIS) and UCLA Anderson Marketing and Communications staff on course and related website content, software training, and regular changes to course-related website content. 3. Coordinate efforts with the Associate Director to ensure seamless flow of data between the prospective student CRM (Salesforce) database system and application database system as well as ensure communications are streamlined. 4. Serves as an admissions committee member, interviews 20-25 candidates, and provides expertise and business experience to the evaluation process. 5. Working in collaboration with the MSBA student government, determines how to improve the student experience inside and outside of the classroom. 6. Review and approve Travel Express submissions for domestic travel and international travel. 7. Oversee financial reports to ensure payments, credits and other special account actions are tracked and correct. | 40% | | | | | |
