POSITION SUMMARY

The Blank Assistant 1 will provide essential support to the department by assisting with various administrative functions that contribute to the overall efficiency of operations. This entry-level position focuses on delivering administrative assistance to the Chair and MSO, handling communication, and supporting departmental activities. The role is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

1. Assist in the preparation and organization of departmental events, seminars, and meetings.

2. Provide support for faculty and student travel arrangements as needed.

3. Answer department phones, provide information, and direct callers to appropriate staff/faculty.

4. Greet and direct guests and visitors to the appropriate individual or office.

5. Maintain copy/fax machine, service calls, and supplies.

6. Assist in scheduling and maintaining department conference rooms, ensuring that rooms are clean and equipment is functional.

7. Distribute mail and packages to faculty, staff, and students.

Assist with key requests and documentation of key assignments.

Serve as the department's Parking Coordinator.
