POSITION SUMMARY | Under the general supervision of the Department Manager and the Supervisor/Lead, incumbent is responsible for providing support to properties managed by UCLA Housing & Hospitality Services. The Facilities Worker will be tasked with performing low-skilled and non-technical assignments associated with cleaning, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of facilities equipment, systems, and components. Specifically, these duties will include, but may not be limited to cleaning, lubricating and minor maintenance of various heating and cooling components including grills, registers drain pans, coils fans and belts. Assist more senior departmental members with repairs as needed. Prepare all required forms, reports, and documentation associated with assigned tasks. | | | |

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | Plumbing | Assist with the diagnose, repair, and/or replace damaged sections of plumbing pipes and fittings. Recognize and assist with clearing stoppages in floor and sewer main drains. Perform minor inspection, assist with repair and/or replacement of pumps, solar panels, water pressure regulators, mixing valves, pressure/temperature gauges, gas regulators, pump coupling etc. Assist with minor repair/remove and replace heat exchangers. Assist with replacement of anodes on water storage tanks. Perform necessary cleaning of heaters and boilers. Assist with miscellaneous plumbing repairs on an as needed basis. | 25% | Electrical | Assist with diagnose, repair, and/or replace electrical fixtures such as fuses, sockets, ballasts, switches and thermostats. Assist with power and wiring inspection of equipment. Assist with minor wiring repairs. Assist with miscellaneous electrical repairs on an as needed basis. | 25% | Mechanical | Assist with diagnose, repair, and/or replace motors, belts, exhaust/condenser fans.
