POSITION SUMMARY | Provide research support and act as study coordinator for the UCLA Addictions Research Laboratory. The lab assistant II will contribute to clinical laboratory studies of addiction. Responsibilities include subject recruitment, screening and retention with a community sample of research participants, coordinating organizational aspects of the study such as data entry, and coordinating regulatory aspects of the study protocol. Additionally, the lab assistant II will train and supervise undergraduate research assistants. | | | |
Department Summary | The UCLA Department of Psychology is an exceptional department known for its excellence in research, teaching, and service. Its undergraduate program is the largest within the Division of Life Sciences and the UCLA College, with more than 4,700 undergraduate students enrolled across three majors: Psychology, Psychobiology, and Cognitive Science. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | Direct Data Collection with Human Subjects and Data Entry | A1.Coordinate recruitment and enrollment efforts (manage participant responses on online surveys, conduct phone screen interviews, communicate with CTRC staff and study physicians to schedule medical screening visits, work directly with advertisement vendors, and assist in determining participant eligibility with study physician.)
