POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Relationship Manager will plan, organize, direct and control Information Systems projects as assigned by the Director, Research Enterprise Applications. Responsible for leading projects from conception to completion, while providing advanced applications management, technical coordination, and on-going operational support for web-based applications with the Office of Research Administration. The Business Relationship Manager develops functional and technical design specification based on business requirements. Manages software implementations, quality assurance, training, and deployment efforts to ensure smooth transitions to new or updated software. Aggressively yet diplomatically manage external vendors to ensure deliverables are met per contract agreements, project plan, and action items. The Business Relationship Manager mentors and provides leadership to IT team by setting excellent example in diligence, planning, analysis, and communications. Coordinate with other departments on the implementation of application interfaces with existing systems. Identify project risks and potential resolutions; report issues and on-going project status to senior management team. The Business Relationship Manager will monitor and manage project schedule and resource/budgetary allocation.

The Office for Research Information Systems (ORIS) is a part of the Office of Research Administration (ORA) which supports the UCLA research program by providing leadership, professional guidance and administrative services to faculty, department administrators, and students.
