POSITION SUMMARY | Under the direct supervision of the Night Crew Supervisor, perform routine maintenance, alter, and repair of campus buildings and related facilities involving one more of the various trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and hardware maintenance. Respond to trouble calls involving simple repair or replacement involving a wide variety of tasks. Assist skilled journeypersons of various trades with projects as needed. Operate, maintain, and make simple repairs on a variety of power or hand tools. Transport materials and personnel to and from job site, clean job site, return equipment, and follow all safety procedures. Follow all established safety procedures at all times. Upon completion of work, clean-up job site and return equipment, materials, and tools. Radios, pagers and Kronos wands to designated storage areas. As a member of the "Super" Asbestos Hit Team, participate in the removal of hazardous materials such as asbestos, mold, lead etc. | | | |

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | Maintenance and Repair | 1. Assist journeypersons of various trades with simple maintenance or repair on various projects. 2. Perform routine maintenance and lubrication by adjusting, cleaning, replacing and making minor repairs to tools and equipment. 3. At the request of the Sr. Superintendent Lead, or Journeyperson, respond to trouble calls involving simple repair, removals, or replacement. 4. Clean roof or patio drains and re-glue baseboards. 5. Make minor repairs to office and classroom furniture and equipment. 6. Make minor repairs or replace window hardware. | 45% | Installations | 1. Install blackboards, white boards, pencil sharpeners, fire extinguishers, seismic anchoring or other procedures requiring basic, simple procedures. | 35% | Asbestos and Hazardous Material Removal | 1. As a member of the "Super Hit Asbestos Team" perform asbestos, lead, mold etc. removal. 2. Contain, bag, and remove contaminated items following all mandatory procedures and utilizing appropriate safety equipment properly. 3. Properly secure area and protect the surrounding area during removal process. 4. Report to manager, supervisor, lead, and or journeyperson any problems or issues regarding removal project. | 10% | General Tasks | 1. Maintain accurate hours worked on each job. 2.
