GENERAL SUPERVISION - Indicates that the incumbent develops procedures for performance of variety of duties; or performs complex duties within established policy guidelines.


POSITION SUMMARY

Working closely with the content teams incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of content quality assurance operations across the department. This involves tracking incoming primary law content feeds, and testing content against publishing system and quality requirements. Incumbent will develop familiarity with all content types and will participate in a variety of content projects on an as-needed basis.


Department Summary

We are Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), providing innovative resources and practice-oriented tools that help attorneys better serve their clients. From online legal research and MCLE to forms solutions and print books, CEB strives to make high-quality legal information accessible to everyone, from rural solo practices to large law firms. Founded in 1947, CEB is one of California’s oldest and most prestigious legal information and continuing legal education providers. CEB publishes judgments of California case law, practical guidance for attorneys and, CLE all in a variety of practice areas and formats e.g. print, online and, in-person. CEB operates as a nonprofit within the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). We are an arm of UCLA Extension as we provide continuing education needed for licensed lawyers and other legal professionals.

A1: Ensure primary law incoming stream repositories are updated daily. A2:Ensure primary law content available for internal research applications. A3: Review formatting, categorizing and posting. A4: Document and communicate deviations from quality performance indicators

Manage the California Advance sheet process

B1: Keep track of the printed California Advance sheets (essentially the preliminary printing of the opinions). B2: Adds the citation and periodic structural corrections pagination to the opinions.

Secondary Source Quality

C1: Review and analyze secondary source content for compliance with quality performance indicators C2: Document and communicate deviations from quality performance indicators.
