POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Admissions, Recruitment, and Marketing for the Master of Financial Engineering (MFE) program at UCLA Anderson is responsible for leading the program's admissions strategy, recruitment efforts, and marketing initiatives to attract and enroll a highly qualified and diverse applicant pool. This role requires a data-driven and strategic approach to increase visibility, enhance brand positioning, and optimize the admissions pipeline   from prospect engagement to enrollment. The Director works independently as well as collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the MFE program meets its enrollment goals. Additionally, the Director will oversee all digital communications to prospects and new admits, manage branding and messaging across various platforms, and leverage new and evolving technologies to enhance marketing and outreach efforts.

• Manage the front-to-back admissions process, including application review, candidate evaluation, and admissions decisions.

• Oversee the interview process and ensure high-quality assessment of prospective students.

• Develop, design, and implement a strategic post-admit communications and engagement plan to maximize yield.

• Manage post-admit communication campaigns, ensuring admitted students receive timely and relevant information to support their decision-making process.

• Oversee the creation and execution of yield/onboarding events, including welcome receptions, admitted student webinars, and networking opportunities.

• Ensure coordination across departments to provide seamless onboarding and transition for admitted students.

• Ensure compliance with UCLA and Division of Graduate Education (DGE) admissions policies and guidelines.

• Utilize data analytics to track applicant trends, assess recruitment effectiveness, and optimize outreach efforts.

• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Admissions Coordinator to ensure the accuracy and integrity of admissions data, facilitating seamless submission for rankings surveys and strategic reporting.

 

Recruitment

• Develop strategy for, plan participation in, and represent the MFE program at domestic and international recruitment events, fairs, and conferences.

• Oversee planning and execution of on-campus and virtual recruitment events, coordinating with internal and external constituencies.

• Collaborate with faculty and alumni to engage in recruitment activities.

• Build relationships with prospective students, providing guidance on the admissions process and program fit.

• Collaborate with alumni, faculty, and current students to engage with admitted students and reinforce program value.

• Implement best practices in CRM and marketing automation to enhance engagement with prospective students.

• Utilize CRM tools and data analytics to monitor and analyze recruitment and admissions data, track yield trends, refine outreach strategies, and improve efficiency.

• Oversee the development and execution of surveys to analyze student engagement, recruitment impact, and marketing effectiveness.

• Conduct competitor benchmarking and market research to inform recruitment and marketing initiatives.

• Manage development of all MFE printed publications and promotional materials used at various recruiting events.

ï‚·          Develop, design, and implement an overall strategic media and communications plan for marketing the MFE program, including all websites, printed publications, social media, and database email marketing campaigns.

ï‚·          • Develop and execute a multi-channel marketing strategy, including digital advertising, email campaigns, social media, and content marketing, to drive brand awareness and applications.

ï‚·          • Plan, manage, and execute social media strategy in coordination with the main Anderson social media campaign, analyzing and evaluating both existing and potential social media activities.

ï‚·          • Partner with the Anderson School’s marketing and communications team to enhance the MFE program’s website, promotional materials, and digital presence.

ï‚·          • Oversee the creation of compelling content, including blog posts, student and alumni testimonials, videos, and infographics.

ï‚·          • Manage CRM and email marketing campaigns for prospective and admitted students.

ï‚·          • Manage external vendors, agencies, and platforms used for marketing and recruitment.
