POSITION SUMMARY | This position is responsible for administration of department Linux servers and workstations running a variety of Linux operating systems, including installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems, and software. This position will also include an emphasis on computer security in the department. Duties include researching security issues and provide security solutions for department servers, workstations and network. Work with the hardware group in setting up network monitoring software to insure a stable network. Provide technical consultation on Unix-related and security issues for research groups within the department. | | | |
