POSITION SUMMARY | The primary responsibility of the Research Assistant is to develop, conduct, and manage research projects designated by faculty supervisors. The Research Assistant has a leading role in the development and execution of major research projects, and performs state-of-the-art analyses for research projects in collaboration with faculty . Under the supervision of assigned faculty members, the Research Assistant will provide supervision of volunteer research assistants; create, design and conduct a variety of research studies; manage the recruitment of research subjects; collect, manage, analyze and process data for the intent of publishing in top tier academic journals; perform literature reviews; manage lab meetings, research budget, and project coordination. Responsibilities also include coordination of research projects with external collaborators, which may take place in and outside of the US, including external communication and managing deadlines and work flow with external parties. | | | |

Conduct literature searches and help synthesize/organize the results. Collect and assemble analytical and factual data on identified problems (e.g., through library research, internet research).(E) 2. Conceptualize, prepare, and refine materials for the conduct of studies and accomplishment of identified objectives (includes preparing participant questionnaires). Analyze and review standardized measures and other instruments for the appropriateness of the study.(E) 3. Development and management of study protocols. (E) 4. Provide input and background data for the development of plans for data collection and/or delivery of technical assistance and resources regarding planning, implementing, and evaluating ongoing data collection and participant recruitment. (E) 5. Manage data collection, including: recruiting subject pool members, plan and schedule logistics of different subject pools, order materials (pens, printer ink, other supplies), and oversee and assist data collectors to assure adherence to established research protocol.(E) 6. Conduct and supervise analysis and interpretation of the project data as needed.(E) 7. Coordinate preparation of data displays (charts, graphs, and tables) related to results and findings. (E) 8. Gather, synthesize, and share relevant project information as well as materials and resources with faculty members and their collaborators .(E) 9. Help with preparation of human subjects applications and track ongoing contracts between the project and the Office for the Protection of Research Subjects (OPRS).(E) 10.
