POSITION SUMMARY | Under the direct supervision of the Senior Stores Supervisor and general direction of the Director of Mail, Document, and Distribution Services, responsible for daily operations and coordination of staff at the Center for Health Sciences (CHS) central receiving main loading dock located at 650 Charles E. Young Drive A-Level. Annual incoming package volume is approximately 100,000 shipments. Lead and train a team of storekeepers, stores workers, and senior storekeepers to receive, inspect, sort, deliver, obtain signature capture, and provide customer service. Responsible daily loading dock traffic coordination. The Center for Health Sciences main loading dock is the hub for outgoing expedited mail items (UPS, FedEX, DHL) and collection of USPS items for delivery to UCLA Mail Services. Assist with the UCLA central accounts (UPS and Fed Ex) utilizing vendor-provided software for outbound package shipments. In the absence of the Senior Stores Supervisor, manage the loading dock area and staff. | | | |

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | Receiving | • Coordinate daily staff which may include job assignment. (E) Essential • Lead team in receiving of inbound express letters, packages, and freight ensuring reconciliation of delivery quantity and quality. • Assist with Inspection of shipments to ensure quantity and quality. • Assign positions and follow-up on sortation of inbound packages by delivery location. Investigate poorly addressed items to ensure timely delivery. • Lead team in daily route delivery of all inbound packages ensuring overnight shipments receive priority and that procedures are in place to allow for timely delivery of all packages. • Ensure team has daily obtained signature capture at time of delivery for all packages including piece-by-piece reconciliation for large bulk shipments (e.g. storeroom locations within CHS). • Assist customers with inquiries as it pertains to expected time of delivery, lost items, damaged items, or items with incorrect destination addressing. • Assist customers with follow-up on missing packages, delayed deliveries, or other inquiries. • Investigate discrepancies and resolve missing items. • Other unspecified receiving duties as assigned. | 70% | Loading Dock Coordination | • Lead daily shift operations at loading dock located at 650 Charles E.
