POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Directors of Research, the Research Analyst conducts and supports complex research and data analysis across multiple projects, including the Latino Data Hub and policy research portfolios. Responsibilities include project management, analysis of large datasets (including census microdata), development of policy-relevant research products, and coordination of project workflows and deliverables.

 

The role supports dissemination of findings through reports, presentations, and digital content, and contributes to student mentorship and applied learning initiatives. The Research Analyst also builds and maintains relationships with community partners, policymakers, funders, and media, and may travel or work occasional evenings/weekends to support external engagements.

 

Additionally, the position provides administrative and project support to research leadership across in-house, extramural, and faculty-led initiatives, and helps maintain relationships with key stakeholders to advance LPPI's research and policy impact.

The UCLA Latino Policy & Politics Institute (LPPI) advances evidence-based policy solutions addressing critical issues impacting Latino and other underserved communities through research, advocacy, and leadership development.
