POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Enterprise, the Head of Publishing Operations will provide operational and financial leadership for the Continuing Education of the Bar's (CEB) flagship Print Business, with $10M in revenue. The Head of Publishing Operations will be responsible for stabilizing and maintaining the top line revenue of the Print line of business representing 40% of CEB's revenue. This position affects the financial performance and profitability of the Print line of business from financial planning, direct marketing, development of pricing strategies, and implementation of cost optimization initiatives to maintain Print revenue and margin. This position will manage CEB's Print Distribution Center, responsible for order fulfillment and inventory management. The position will have direct management of a team of six employees and will coordinate with shared CEB resources in Marketing, Product, Sales, and Finance to ensure that the requirements of the Print Business are well defined and executed.

Responsible for the management of our publishing fulfillment center (PDC)warehouse, ensuring that fulfillment of Print customer orders is timely and cost efficient. (E)  Align with the Production Operations team's publishing schedule to ensure that CEB's order management, inventory, and fulfillment operations are ready for all newly published titles. (E)  Manage Inventory levels to support customer sales and minimize excess inventory write-offs. (E)   Responsible for the execution of policies and procedures to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality legal research publications. (E)  Produce, track, and report a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor the health of CEB's Print Business Operations. (E)

Profit & Loss (P&L) Management

Develop and implement a pricing strategy for Print publications that incorporates CEB's long term goals, market trends and competitive analyses. (E)   Collaborate internally and hold accountable the marketing team to develop and ensure print marketing campaigns are timely, provide Return-on-Investment (ROI) to support business goals, and increase revenue. (E)   Develop and enforce print discounting guidelines and approval thresholds for use by Sales and Deal Desk (E)   Develop and drive execution of cost optimization strategy for the Print Business, manage and optimize costs related to running the Print business and identify areas to reduce costs and maintain profit margins on the Print line of business without reducing quality, customer experience, productivity, or value. (E)   Build out Annual and Long-term Print business model and execution plan that aligns with CEB's financial goals (E)  Produce, track, and report a set of KPI's to monitor the health of CEB's Print Business (E)  Report Business results and KPI's to CEB Leadership, providing key insights and proposals to optimize the Print Business. (E)
