POSITION SUMMARY | The Program Supervisor provides supervisory, strategic, academic, and operational leadership for a defined portfolio of academic programs and certificates. Reporting to a Director, the Program Supervisor oversees staff, ensures academic excellence and operational efficiency, and aligns program delivery with workforce and community needs. The role serves as the Director's operational designee when assigned and collaborates with Teaching & Learning, Marketing and Communications, Academic Advising and Student Success, and Enrollment Management to ensure consistent quality and execution across the instructor and student experience. | | | |

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | Supervision | 1. Provides direct supervision to program managers, program representatives, and other unit staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, workload distribution, and ongoing performance management. Delivers regular coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed to support a high‑functioning, equitable team culture. 2. Oversees day‑to‑day unit operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with departmental policies and program standards. Monitors staff work, reviews documentation, and resolves issues to maintain high levels of service and operational quality. 3. Ensures consistent implementation of academic programs, including course scheduling, instructor support, classroom/logistical coordination, and execution of program procedures. Troubleshoots escalated operational or instructional issues and ensures timely resolution. 4. Oversees unit databases, instructor records, program documentation, and administrative systems to ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper maintenance. Serves as a key point of contact for system improvements, data integrity, and technology‑related problem solving. 5. Analyzes workload, staffing patterns, and operational needs to recommend improvements and inform resource planning. Leads updates to job responsibilities, workflows, and procedures to support unit efficiency and alignment with organizational goals. 6. Identifies professional development opportunities and facilitates training that enhances staff skills and supports unit goals. Provides ongoing developmental coaching to foster growth, engagement, and continuous learning. 7. Facilitates staff meetings and project discussions to ensure alignment, information sharing, and consistent communication.
