POSITION SUMMARY | The Digital Design Studio (DDS) Inquiry Support Facilitator collaborates with the DDS Demonstration Teacher, school administration, and classroom teachers to cultivate an engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environment for students ages 4–12 at UCLA Lab School. The role supports the planning and implementation of innovative, inquiry-based learning experiences within the Digital Design Studio. Partnering with classroom teachers, the facilitator promotes cross-curricular connections with an emphasis on social justice and inclusive educational practices. UCLA Lab School, part of the School of Education and Information Studies, is a research-driven demonstration school serving approximately 450 students ages 4–12. Design and maintain an engaging, developmentally appropriate Digital Design Studio classroom environment that supports hands-on, project-based learning for students ages 4–12. (E) A2. Provide instructional support during scheduled classes by facilitating small-group learning, reinforcing lesson objectives, and promoting active student participation. (E) A3. Integrate educational technologies into instruction and guide students in the safe, responsible, and effective use of digital tools to support learning outcomes. (E) A4. Assist with preparing instructional materials, devices, and equipment. (E) A5. Support the operation, setup, and basic troubleshooting of Digital Design Studio equipment, including interactive whiteboards, digital cameras, 3D printers, robotics systems, and other instructional technologies for classroom lessons. (E) A6. Provide instruction on equipment and software use for students and teachers on materials and equipment used in Digital Design Studio including interactive whiteboards and 3D printers. (E) A7. Facilitate student documentation of learning through digital media, encouraging reflection, creativity, and demonstration of knowledge. (E) A8.
