Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | Clinical Care | Provides direct primary patient care to students at the Ashe Center, including in-person, telehealth, and asynchronous visits. Takes medical history and performs relevant physical exam. Creates appropriate assessment and treatment plan, with physician consultation when needed. Prescribes appropriate medication and devices as authorized under the Practice Agreement. Orders and evaluates laboratory, radiologic, and other diagnostic evaluations as necessary. Refers patients to specialists as needed. Performs relevant procedures when needed. Records all patient encounters in the electronic medical record. Performs care coordination for patients with complex medical needs. Provides counseling for patients in matters of disease management and prevention. | 100% | | | | | |
