POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent provides marketing, communications, production and general administrative support, specifically to the School of Theater, Film and Television's Professional Programs. This is a part-time (mostly remote) position with an estimated schedule of 17 hours per week—exact schedule is to be determined. There is potential for this to turn into a full-time position in the future.

Taught by top experts and leaders working in the entertainment industry, the world-renowned Professional Programs at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television offers graduate-level, competitive admission, yearlong, non-degree programs in Screenwriting, Writing for Television, Producing and Directing.

Marketing (Advertising)

To fulfill the Program Director’s objectives, the Marketing Coordinator coordinates and facilitates the creative process and growth for all Professional Programs social media (posts, reels and boosts) for Facebook (27K public page), Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, BlueSky, as well as helping to assess and develop any future social media targets.

 

The incumbent will craft ads and email blasts to targeted subscribers of various companies with the intent of growing the Professional Programs student applicant pool, and help to identify and expand this list of target companies.

Marketing (Production and Communications)

Additional responsibilities include: staying current with developments in AI marketing, arranging interviews about the Programs, researching internet hubs to enhance Program reputation, development and production of podcast commercials and episodes, production of annual commercials, Google ads, subscriber newsletters to potential students, producing alumni and instructor video and text testimonials and words of wisdom and Q&As, collecting Professional Programs alumni news and general news updates for our website and socials, photographing classes and events, and creating materials for Professional Programs participation in festivals and conventions including: Austin Film Festival, Sundance, special weekend seminars, and other potential off-site events.

The Marketing Coordinator will contribute to brand management by maintaining consistency across various platforms and actively engaging with constituents. The role will also have a focus on analytics and reporting, and the incumbent will track key performance indicators to provide insights to optimize marketing campaigns.
