SUPERVISION - Indicates that the incumbent performs a variety of routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to the supervisor’s guidelines.


POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general direction of a journey level crafts worker perform routine and semi-skilled maintenance, alterations and repair of campus equipment and/or assist journeyperson with installation and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment, compressors and auxiliary equipment used in the manufacture and distribution of steam, chilled water, compressed air and distilled water.  Assist in the repair of steam lines and vacuum pumps.  Operate tools and equipment related to the HVAC trade.  Operate and maintain a variety of power and hand tools, transport materials, clean job sites, and observe good safety practices.  Maintain logs of completed task.
