POSITION SUMMARY

Provides various housekeeping support services for the Luskin Conference Center (LCC). Responsible for the overall cleanliness of assigned floors, assisting Guest Room Attendants, Linen Room Attendants, and Housekeeping Supervisors.  Accountable for the cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public vending areas. Executes the delivery and pickup of guest-requested items to and from guest rooms, maintains Guest Room Attendant carts, and manages the supply of clean linens for the hotel; ensuring closets are fully stocked and removing trash and dirty linens. Tasks are expected to be performed per LCC's expectations for quality customer service.


Department Summary

The Luskin Conference Center (LCC) is a 300,000-square-foot, 7-story property on the UCLA campus. LCC is comprised of 254 guest rooms, approximately 25,000 square feet of meeting space, a 160-seat restaurant, a fitness center, and a business center. The LCC is an academic meeting and conference destination supporting UCLA's education and research mission.

Housekeeping Support

 • Maintain Guest Room Attendant carts and closets by removing trash and dirty linen and stocking amenities, cleaning supplies, and paper products

 • Clean stairways, hallways, corridors, elevators, lobby, outside steps, terraces, patios, windowsills, meeting and auditorium space

 • Clean and deodorize public restrooms, including all fixtures, urinals, toilets, sinks, floors and tile

 • Dust, clean, wax, or polish mirrors, showcases, glass panels, furniture, and fixtures in public areas

 • Vacuum and shampoo carpeting in guest rooms and public areas

 • Collect, remove, and dispose of trash and recycling from assigned areas to designated trash disposal/recyclable areas

Linen Service Support

 • Pick up and deliver dirty linen to the linen room

 • Replace dirty linen with clean linen in housekeeping closets and Guest Room Attendant carts

 • Make beds and prepare bathrooms in guest rooms

 • Distribute, collect, store, and inventory linen supplies

 • Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes and shapes by hand

 • Provide guests and other visitors with assistance and information when appropriate, including delivering guest amenities or specially requested items

 • Relay concerns, questions, or comments from guests and visitors to management or appropriate team member

 • Report service orders and missing or damaged property to management team
