POSITION SUMMARY

Provides housekeeping and guest services for the Lake Arrowhead Lodge (LAL). Responsible for ensuring that standards of cleanliness in assigned guest rooms are achieved and maintained consistently to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service. Responsible for responding to and assisting guests with their requests, supporting the hotel's ongoing commitment to exceptional guest service. Tasks are expected to be performed per LAL's guidelines for quality customer service.


Department Summary

UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge is a unique Southern California meeting and retreat venue. Located high in the pine-studded San Bernardino Mountains on the tranquil shores of Lake Arrowhead, our 50-acre lodge provides meeting space and accommodations for groups from September through mid-June. During the summer, Bruins Woods Family Camp program runs for ten consecutive weeks, with up to 80 families attending each week.

Guest Room Cleaning

 • Check guest occupancy and verify that rooms have been vacated per the LAL check-out policy

 • Perform a visual inspection of each room before cleaning or organizing and report inconsistencies, such as evidence of smoking, to the management team

 • Make beds according to established procedures

 • Dust, clean, wax, or polish mirrors, glass panels, furniture, and fixtures in guest rooms

 • Clean and deodorize guest room restrooms, including all fixtures, urinals, toilets, sinks, floors and tile

 • Collect, remove, and dispose of trash and recycling from guest rooms to designated trash disposal/recyclable areas

 • Vacuum and shampoo carpeting in guest rooms

 • Clean hallways, corridors, terraces, patios, and windowsills

 • Restock used amenities such as shampoo, lotions,  stationery, and pens

 • Maintain parstock levels of bathroom supplies in guest room restrooms

 • Carefully control the usage of custodial cleaning and paper supplies

 • Replace light bulbs and perform basic maintenance

 • Provide guests and other visitors with assistance and information when appropriate, including delivering guest amenities or specially requested items

 • Relay concerns, questions, or comments from guests and visitors to management or the appropriate team member

 • Report service orders and missing or damaged property to the management team

 • Fulfill a variety of guest requests in order to provide the highest quality guest experience possible
