Department Summary

The Engineering Pathway Program for Community College Students (EPP) is designed to address the challenges faced by community college students in engineering, who often encounter barriers in credit transfer and progression due to the lack of standardized pathways. This new initiative is dedicated to improving the educational pathways for community college students transferring to California State Universities (CSUs) or the University of California (UCs) in engineering. Our goal is to ensure that community college students transferring to California State Universities or University of California campuses in engineering will have full participation in the California workforce – on an equal footing as their counterparts who enrolled as university freshmen. The Engineering Pathway Program for Community College Students (EPP) will work closely with the California Engineering Liaison Council (ELC) to foster deeper integration between community colleges, universities, and the engineering industry.
