POSITION SUMMARY | Under the general guidance of the Senior Director of Career Services, incumbent will develop and coordinate job opportunities, provide employment counseling, and provide career education for law students and alumni. | | | |

Develop relations with the legal employment community concentrating on small and mid-size private sector employers, public sector and other employers who don't utilize the On-Campus Interview Program (OCIP). (E) 2. Expand the traditional employment market scope both substantively and geographically. (E) 3. Develop job opportunities for students not placed through the standard OCIP methods. (E) 4. Build relations with UCLA Law alumni and bar associations for networking and employment opportunities. (E) | 20% | Career Counseling | 1. Teach, advise and counsel law students in their career development by addressing areas of self-assessment, goal-setting, resume-writing, interviewing skills, career paths and job search strategies as well as various fields of practice and alternatives to traditional practice.
