POSITION SUMMARY | As a member of SSCERT, responsible for user support for Faculty, Staff and Students for the Economics Department. Duties include but are not limited to management of the instructional computing lab, hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance, Faculty and Staff consultation and training, and Network troubleshooting and maintenance of the department's web server and for all other instructional computing support. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the UCLA Department of Economics. | | | |
Department Summary | As a member of SSCERT, responsible for user support for Faculty, Staff and Students for the Economics Department. Install and configure computer hardware and software for faculty, staff, TAs, and labs, or oversee assistants performing these tasks. (E) A2. Troubleshoot and resolve computer and network issues; consult IT Manager and SSCERT as needed. (E) A3. Repair and upgrade departmental hardware. (E) A4. Maintain an ongoing upgrade plan for departmental systems. (E) A5. Keep equipment and software inventory current. (E) A6. Advise IT Manager on workstation conditions and upgrade needs. (E) A7.
