POSITION SUMMARY | Under the general supervision of the Dispatch Supervisor, the Transit Bus Attendant provides the following services: cleaning and washing of Transit vehicles including heavy duty Compress Natural Gas (CNG) buses and passenger vans; connecting the CNG fueling dispensers to the bus; checking fuel pressure on CNG vehicles; charging electric vehicles, performing light maintenance; checking fluids, tire pressure and lights; and completing fueling reports. The Transit Bus Attendant is responsible for vehicle wash services for external customers, including vehicle pickup and return. Maintain the service work area and equipment, and ensure that vehicles and the yard are secure each evening. | | | |

Assist mechanic with light maintenance duties including inspecting tire condition, lights and leaks. (E) 3. Maintain work area and service yard in a clean and orderly condition in compliance with safety regulations. (E) 4. Maintain records on supplies used and defective items. (E) 5. Keep vehicle storage area and wash areas clean, organized and stocked with cleaning supplies. (E) 6. Assist in providing roadside service and in recovering inoperable buses and other heavy duty vehicles. (E) | 65% | Vehicle Operation | 1.
