POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Automotive Technology Superintendent, perform general lot attendant duties including but not limited to upkeep of the cleanliness of fleet yard lot, fleet parking garage, BruinCar/Motorpool stalls, inspecting, reporting vehicle condition, fleet and motorpool lot checks, retrieving, fueling and washing and vacuuming campus vehicles, serviced vehicles, and BruinCar/Motorpool as needed including key/keybox/key fob battery inspection and upkeep as needed.  Assist campus customers with fueling services and other customer service needs including BruinCar/Motorpool keybox support, lost and found support, fueling support (fuel card dispatching and retrieval.). Responsible for checking all fluid levels on BruinCar/Motorpool and providing drop-off service for customers as needed. Complete BruinCar/Motorpool maintenance service request forms and document repairs on work orders. Assist with the coordination of off-site vehicle washing and the delivery and pick-up of vehicles for off-site repairs. Pick up of vehicle parts is occasionally required. This position is responsible for maintaining the clean and professional appearance of the fleet yard and vehicle storage area. The Automotive Attendant will be working in various weather conditions and work times.

1. Clean and wash (interior/exterior) all vehicles as required. (E)  2. Inspect and report all vehicles for damage as needed. (E)   3. Park and retrieve campus vehicles and serviced vehicles as required. (E)  4. Assist campus customers with refueling unleaded, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) service and assist with Electric vehicles as needed. (E)  5. Maintain wash bays, and fuel and vacuum islands. (E)  6. Deliver and pick-up vehicles and/or parts off-site as necessary. (E)  7. Assist Automotive Technology Superintendent with scheduling and monitoring of washes and the wash crew. (E)  8. Crush oil filters as necessitated by the shop workflow. (E)  9. Empty trash receptacles in the maintenance area on a daily basis. (E)  10. Produce daily paperwork to reflect correct billing of time.
