POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision of the Director of Recruiting Operations the Assistant Director of On Campus Recruiting will coordinate and implement the day-to-day activities associated with the University's on campus official and unofficial recruiting visits for football. This includes advising the Director of Recruiting Operations and Assistant General Manager on all administrative areas involving bringing recruits to campus.  The Assistant Director arranges and conducts activities surrounding official and unofficial on-campus recruiting visits, communicates with football staff regarding recruiting activities and agendas, maintains documentation related to recruitment activities, and coordinates with compliance staff to ensure activities associated with on-campus recruiting and unofficial on-campus visits are in compliance with University, NCAA, and BIG10 recruitment regulation.

Assist with oversight of daily operations of on campus recruiting.

Communicates with prospects and with their family members to make arrangements for campus visits.

Participates in activities associated with on campus official visits.

Engage in regular communication with the Athletic Department Compliance Office and apply NCAA and University Admissions rules and regulations, while scheduling and documenting monthly coaching staff compliance sessions.

Oversee and manage student workers

Maintain recruiting software, complete all visit paperwork within the ARMS database

Assist with all on-campus recruiting including correspondence with prospective student-athletes, the NLI process, recruiting boards, depth charts and player rankings.

On Campus Recruiting Operations

Maintains required documentation related to planned recruitment activities and submits to Athletics Compliance Office.

Develop recruiting communication and strategy.

Work with equipment and creative content staff in planning on campus photoshoots for official visit prospects

Coordinate with Athletic Travel office all travel itineraries (flights/hotels/transportation) related to official visits.

Make arrangements for logistics required for on-campus recruiting visits, to include booking airline flights, hotel rooms, and ground transportation, planning meals, snacks, and hospitality rooms, and entertainment activities. Assist with the football operations staff as needed.

Communicates with football staff regarding recruiting activities and surrounding agendas.

On Campus Recruiting Operations

Work closely with the Director of New Media to develop and implement a comprehensive plan to effectively market and inform prospects on the staff, program and university.

Assist with setting the template, organization and administration for all prospective student athlete visits- both official and unofficial visits. Provide direction for implementation and execution of all aspects regarding the visit.

Maintain and update a wide ranging and significant source of contacts for all recruiting related topics and information.

Ensure complete and proper adherence to all NCAA, Conference, and UCLA rules and regulations related to the process of recruiting including schedule regular compliance and rules updates and educational sessions.

Admissions Preparation

Assist with gathering transcripts and test scores for all recruits, and counsel them on what they need to be admitted in both course selection and performance.

Work closely with the Director of Recruiting Operations to prepare scholarship and walk on offers for prospects wih admission.

Assist with coordinating academic interviews for recruits selected to need one in admissions process.

• Comply with all Federal, State, University and Department requirements established pursuant to Title IX, including the mandatory reporting requirements for a “Responsible Employee.”

 • The DIA is governed by the NCAA, BIG10 and University of California.  The incumbent is required to comply with the applicable rules, regulations and policies of those organizations.

    ◦ Review and retain all rules compliance disseminated by the DIA Compliance office.

    ◦ Report all NCAA/BIG10 violations.

    ◦ Sign the annual NCAA Certification of Compliance form.

    ◦ Complete the Athletically Related Income form annually.

    ◦ Comply with California State Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Act (CANRA) Law and adhere to mandatory reporting guidelines.
