POSITION SUMMARY | The incumbent will be directed by the Head Football Coach and assume oversight and responsibility for the football program's activities on a daily basis in departmental operations, especially in relation to the Head Football Coach and program operation. The Deputy Director, Football Administration is responsible for management of assigned areas, serving as a main point of contact for the department operation, and maintaining consistent and equitable policies for football program in regards to other administrative areas and oversee the use of available resources to the program in an equitable, efficient, effective and compliant manner at all times. Primary responsibilities will also focus on the development and well-being of over 115 student-athletes and their growth in all areas as students and leaders in the classroom, fields of competition and in the community. Other duties include the representation of the football program at external events with the Head Football Coach and others in the campus and wider community and oversight of the programs budget and forecasting. Furthermore, this position will serve as the department's administrative liaison in many areas in the department, on campus, within the Big Ten conference and other affiliated conferences, and nationally through the NCAA. | | | |

AD of Equip Ops • Develop departmental policies and procedures for FB staff and SAs; ensure all staff members are adhering to systems, controls, and policies of the program, department, University, Conferences, NCAA, and state • Assist the Head Coach with communication and management of Coaches and staff • Maintain knowledge of NCAA, Conference, Campus, University, and state policy and governance regulations to disseminate and execute policies to maintain program compliance and operational efficiencies • Continuously review staffing roster for FB program and assign duties in an efficient manner that aligns with department and campus policies | 10% | Football Program Organizational Management | • Exercise discretionary authority to solve problems in assigned areas of responsibility within dept to ensure consistency and programmatic excellence. • Remain current with Compliance policies and programs; communicating with appropriate staff/coaches, including Head FB Coach • Communicate with the AD, Exec SAAD/FB or designee(s) concerning program progress and SA initiatives • Create, execute and oversee the implementation of programs assisting in the growth and development of SAs in regards to their personal and academic wellbeing. Includes but not limited to: financial aid, compliance, housing, nutrition, medical, and additional services • Collaborate with senior management to enhance programs and processes that create efficiencies throughout the dept and other campus entities | 10% | Football Program Organizational Management | • Provide leadership, advice, and assistance to management, staff, and coaches; representing the interests of the programs and department on a variety of campus issues • Ensure that football staff working on behalf of UCLA represent the goals of the program and values of the department at all times, including department, university, and NCAA compliance • Collaborate with various internal department groups that assist with football program to keep all parties up to date using developed software communication tools. Areas include equipment operations, sports medicine, athletic communications, performance, academics, IT and video staff, as well as SAs, coaches and support staff • Understand and review staffing plans for recruiting to ensure efficient use of time and resources available to program | 10% | Recruiting and New Media | • Oversee and direct the Football Recruiting staff • Ensure staff are working collaboratively with the Head Football Coach, assistant coaches, and recruiting personnel staff in the identification, evaluation and recruitment of prospective student athletes • Assist with the on-campus recruiting staff's organization, scheduling and logistics of all official and unofficial visits of prospective student athletes • Establish and execute short and long term goals as it relates to the overall vision of UCLA Football's NIL activities • Build and facilitate relationships with NIL partners • Oversee and direct the Football Media staff • Review the strategic plan related to the program’s recruiting multimedia initiatives, focusing on recruiting student-athletes, from graphic creation & design to photoshoots | 20% | Student-Athlete Development | • Oversee the Player Development staff. • Assist with serving as mentor for student athletes in conjunction with University provided resources to address well-being initiatives. • Provide strong example to student athletes during their formative years and throughout time on campus. • Develop leadership program that incorporates accountability, for all student athletes to follow and maintain proper behavior and attitude throughout the academic year and playing. • Work with strength and conditioning staff to develop comprehensive annual plans for daily maintenance & whole-body growth for SAs. • Collaborate with Sports Medicine staff and team physicians to address concerns and needs of student- athletes.
