POSITION SUMMARY | The Riordan Programs of UCLA Anderson School of Management works with over 300 students and 3,000 alumni. The Associate Director provides leadership, guidance and direction to the department's Program Planning staff.The position is responsible for The Riordan MBA Fellows Program which includes all aspects of outreach, recruiting program participants and implements initiatives that assist in meeting the recruitment goals. A primary goal is to motivate academically competitive and diverse pools to attend business school. Managing Corporate and academic outreach and activities; select and train volunteers. Interact with over 300 program participants, over 250 program volunteers, mentors and alumni. Research new programming activities for the Riordan MBA Fellows, Riordan Scholars and College to Career establishing new partnerships, and maintaining existing community and corporate partnerships. Oversee the development, production and distribution of all marketing materials and increase visibility of the Programs. Supervise staff and student assistants. The Associate Director is responsible for financial analysis and management. Track and monitor all program expenses, revenue, fiscal needs and prepare monthly balance sheets. Work closely with the Executive Director on donor relations and Fundraising Events. Manages one or more specific functions such as tracking alumni graduate rates, fellowships and implementation of salesforce. Serves on staff hiring committees.   | | | |

Plan and execute all activities/events of The Riordan Programs, in coordination with the staff. (E) A2. Oversee the development and design of appropriate graduate management / business educational programming for the Riordan Scholars, Riordan Fellows, and College to Career programs including curriculum development and implementation with Executive Director. (E) A3. Supervise all Riordan Programs Saturday sessions including and program participants and resolution of all issues. (E) A4. Oversee the handling of all mentoring activities and communications by the Mentor Coordinators with special emphasis on lunches, workshops, and training. (E) A5. Maintain communications and cultivate relationships with professional speakers, faculty members, and mentors, volunteers, and program participants. (E) A6. Develop appropriate measures to assess and evaluation program participants' performance. (E) A7. Oversee program activities in collaboration with the Riordan Programs Alumni Association. (M) A8. Researching and performing student counseling related to Admissions, financial aid and scholarships. (E) | 40% | B. Financial Management and Donor Relations | B1. Analyze and forecast annual fiscal needs and assist in the preparation of annual program budget. (E) B2. Prepare monthly program expense reports, balance sheet, and revenue tracking. (E) B3. Handle all financial transactions (payments, billings, contracts and disbursements) (E) B4. Analyze costs, make and implement budgetary changes and manage the programs' financial performance. (E) B5. Work with UCLA Anderson and UCLA Foundation accounting departments to process and expedite donations to appropriate accounts. (E) B6. Support annual strategic fundraising activities with Riordan Executive Director and Advisory Board. (E) B7. Assist in the research, preparation and editing of proposals to corporate and private foundations. (M) B8. Research and solicit in-kind donations to the programs. (M) B9. Research, identify and monitor issues of importance to the organization and higher education by using the internet, current news, legislation and UC policies affecting/impacting the programs and its participants. (E) C3. Form strategic partnerships with appropriate on-campus and off-campus organizations. (E) C4. Moderate and coordinate developmental meetings of new and existing programs with corporate sponsors, professional groups and foundations. (M) C5. Collect and analyze data and statistical records to generate reports for Executive Director and Advisory Board. (E) C6. Oversee the design and implementation of session and program evaluations for use in Advisory Board meetings, Grants and Foundation reports. (E) | 15% | D. Marketing and Outreach | D1. Visit local public/private high schools and colleges, corporate and other business institutions to market the programs. (E) D2. Build relationships with college counselors, school administrators, university clubs, and university representatives in order to market the programs and recruit participants. (E) D3. Oversee the development of external marketing materials, such as applications, invitations, newsletters, programs, brochures, and web site for Advisory Board, Contacts & Partners, Foundations, Corporate Sponsors, alumni, etc. (E) D6. Assist in the development and implementation of all outreach activities including but not limited to corporate site visits, cultural field trips, campus tours, and internships. (M) D7. Manage the selection of program participants through a comprehensive evaluation of application. (E) D8. Select and train volunteers for all program needs such as application readers, interviewers, workshops presenters, program mentors, and others as need arises. (E) D9.
