POSITION SUMMARY | The Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships provides operational, programmatic, and administrative leadership for UCLA TFT's portfolio of external institutional partnerships, in service of goals and vision established by TFT senior leadership. The role carries primary responsibility for the multi-year collaboration with Sundance Institute, with the scope and structure designed to support additional strategic partnerships as the portfolio grows. Reporting to the Senior Director, Events and Strategic Initiatives, the Senior Manager serves as the principal operational point of contact responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of active partnerships. The Senior Manager works collaboratively with UCLA faculty, staff, administrators, students, and external partner organizations to ensure the successful execution of partnership initiatives, including — in the current Sundance Institute collaboration — the Digital Learning Hub, Bridge Intensive, Summer Summit, Co-Developed Certificate Program, and future collaborative initiatives. Core areas of responsibility include project management, financial administration, fundraising coordination, communications, governance support, assessment, and reporting, with sustained attention to alignment with the strategic goals of both UCLA TFT and its partners. | | | |

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions | Function | Responsibilities | % Time | Partnership Operations & Program Management | • Serve as the primary operational point of contact between UCLA TFT and external partner organizations, maintaining regular communication to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and partnership commitments. • Develop and manage implementation plans, schedules, work plans, and milestone tracking for all active partnership initiatives; monitor progress and flag risks to senior leadership for resolution. • Coordinate executive and operational meetings; prepare agendas, briefing materials, action-item logs, and follow-up documentation to ensure accountability and prompt execution. | 35% | | • Administer and coordinate all current partnership initiatives under the Sundance Institute collaboration, including the Digital Learning Hub, Bridge Intensive and Sundance Film Festival Experience, Summer Summit, and Co-Developed Certificate Program. • Coordinate implementation across UCLA departments, faculty, staff, students, partner personnel, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient program delivery. • Support the identification and onboarding of additional strategic partnerships as the portfolio expands, applying established operational frameworks to new collaborations. | 0% | Financial Management and Assessment | • Administer partnership budgets and financial resources in collaboration with TFT Finance, UCLA administrative offices, and external partners. • Monitor expenditures, coordinate payments, prepare financial analyses and reports, ensure compliance with UC policies, and support long-term financial planning. • Partner with TFT Development and external partner organizations to advance fundraising efforts that support the sustainability and growth of active and future partnerships. • Assist with donor proposals, stewardship reports, presentations, and other development materials; coordinate donor cultivation, foundation, corporate, and grant opportunities. | 30% | | • Develop and implement assessment strategies to measure program effectiveness and institutional impact; establish KPIs, collect and analyze participation and outcome data, coordinate shared reporting with partner organizations, and prepare annual impact reports and executive summaries for senior leadership. | 0% | Communications and Campus Engagement | • Coordinate partnership communications in collaboration with TFT Communications, partner organization marketing teams, UCLA Strategic Communications, and other relevant offices. • Develop communication strategies, marketing materials, presentations, reports, and public announcements that promote partnership initiatives and ensure consistent, accurate messaging. • Serve as the primary campus coordinator for partnership implementation, facilitating collaboration across UCLA units and ensuring timely execution of partnership priorities. • Represent UCLA TFT in meetings with partner organizations and external stakeholders as directed by senior leadership. | 20% | Governance Support & Strategic Planning | • Provide administrative support for the partnership's governance structure, including coordination of Executive Steering Committee and Operations Committee meetings. • Prepare agendas, briefing documents, presentations, meeting minutes, dashboards, and action-item tracking; provide regular implementation updates to senior leadership. • Identify and surface opportunities to strengthen and expand active partnerships through new initiatives, collaborative programming, and funding opportunities, presenting recommendations to senior leadership for evaluation and decision. • Evaluate emerging trends and recommend operational improvements to advance the long-term growth, sustainability, and national impact of the partnership portfolio. | 15% | | | | | |
